I have found the work I have done in Google Sheets both interesting and transferable to the work I do in class and outside of class. Numbers and statistics are prevalent in the news media world and knowing how to efficiently “sort through the weeds” is important. For example, I can use the functions within Google Sheets to better display my information for this class’ NIL story. Specifically, NIL is mainly numbers and figures (not really words), so contextualizing what I find in Google Sheets regarding percentages and averages is necessary. Furthermore, I can put more work into the actual contextualization thanks to Google Sheet’s efficiency.
