Welcome to my personal website. My name is Tyler Bowne, and I am currently a junior journalism student at San Diego State University. I am also pursuing a minor in rhetoric and writing studies. I currently write for The Daily Aztec and its sports section. With The Daily Aztec, I cover a multitude of different sports and learn a lot about the journalism and media world, aiding in my pursuit of becoming a professional journalist.<\/p>\n\n
In JMS 430, I would like to learn how to appeal to an audience with more than just words. As the world becomes more and more screen-oriented, I need to learn how to adapt to and appeal to the masses. I am not super technologically inclined and would like to learn more about the online journalism and media world. Also, many publications use websites like WordPress to publish their writers’ work, and I would like to eventually be in a high enough position within a publication to be publishing both my own and others’ work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
