I am an aspiring sports journalist from Burbank, California, currently studying journalism, as well as rhetoric and writing studies as a junior at San Diego State University. I am a senior staff reporter for The Daily Aztec, my university’s newspaper, and a golf writing intern with EnforceTheSport. I thoroughly enjoy interviewing people for my stories and getting to know them on a personal level, as well; we are all people and, even if it is for a second, I find human connection a necessity.
Additionally, my deep-rooted passion for sports pushes me to constantly improve as a professional. I grew up an athlete, and still recreationally play sports to this day. Since I am not an actively competing athlete, sports journalism is the closest I can get to the action. My favorite sport to write about is golf, but I also enjoy covering softball, football, and baseball. Game recaps are not exactly my favorite to write, therefore, I like profiles and feature stories the most.
